Contract 3D Artist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with management and fellow artists to develop polished, high-converting YouTube thumbnail assets.

• Create precise 3D character models, props, and environments that align with video concepts and channel branding.

• Pose and manipulate rigged character models effectively.

• Construct environments through set dressing, composition, and lighting techniques.

• Model, texture, and optimize 3D assets for performance.

• Generate high-quality renders utilizing Redshift.

• Work closely with thumbnail artists, integrating feedback and making necessary revisions.

• Stay updated on YouTube trends, gaming content, internet culture, and competitor strategies.

• Meet project deadlines in a dynamic and fast-paced creative environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Maya is required.

• Strong comprehension of the complete 3D production pipeline.

• Experience in modeling, texturing, lighting, rendering, and working with rigged characters is essential.

• Basic proficiency in Adobe Photoshop is necessary.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to implement feedback effectively.

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced creative environment and adapt swiftly to shifting priorities.

• Experience with Redshift, BlockBench, or Roblox Studio is a plus.

• Rigging experience is preferred.

• Experience in painting over 3D renders and compositing artwork is advantageous.

• Familiarity with social media platforms such as YouTube, X, Instagram, Facebook, Reddit, Twitch, Discord, Snapchat, and emerging platforms is beneficial.

• Understanding of thumbnails, titles, trends, and audience behavior, and their impact on video performance is a plus.

• Basic knowledge of YouTube analytics and performance metrics is beneficial.

• Familiarity with click-through rate optimization and YouTube audience behavior is preferred.

• A passion for video games, especially Minecraft, Roblox, or similar gaming content is a plus.

• Awareness of YouTube and internet culture is advantageous.
