This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee teams developing mission-critical, offline-first mobile applications.
• Collaborate with Product/PM to convert customer needs into a strategic roadmap.
• Propel the engineering team to fulfill objectives outlined in the roadmap.
• Steer decisions for a mixed iOS/Android team while assessing cross-platform trade-offs.
• Address production issues with Instabug/Firebase and facilitate root-cause analysis.
• Guide engineers in resolving customer-impacting bugs and navigating complex technical challenges.
• Evaluate mobile architecture designs and set the technical direction.
• Direct decisions regarding RESTful API, data synchronization, and authentication architecture.
• Mentor engineers in debugging, performance enhancement, and memory management.
• Establish best practices within the engineering team.
• Recruit and develop the mobile engineering team.
• Manage performance evaluations, conduct 1:1s, and assist with career development planning.
• Collaborate with Product/PM and cross-functional teams.
• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in native iOS application development using Swift.
• At least 3 years in a formal engineering management or technical lead role managing mobile engineers.
• Familiarity with Android development, including Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, or Android architecture components.
• Demonstrated experience in leading teams to build mission-critical, offline-first mobile applications.
• Capability to work with Product/PM to translate customer requirements into a roadmap and drive execution.
• Proficient with Instabug/Firebase for production issue triage and root-cause analysis.
• Solid understanding of MVVM and Clean Architecture principles.
• Practical knowledge of RESTful API integration, data synchronization, and secure authentication methods.
• Familiarity with WebViews.
• Strong expertise in debugging, performance optimization, and memory management.
• Proven track record in leading mobile development projects, establishing engineering best practices, and growing a team.
• Experience in performance management, conducting 1:1s, career development planning, and engaging with cross-functional stakeholders.
• Experience with Flutter, React Native, or Ionic/Capacitor.
• Authorization to work in the US; must be eligible to work for any US employer.
