This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Collaborate across various functions on proposed business transactions to ensure that accounting issues are recognized, addressed, and documented in comprehensive technical memos.
• Take ownership of creating technical accounting memoranda and accounting policies for new products, transactions, and business initiatives, conducting independent accounting research and exercising professional judgment while efficiently managing multiple workstreams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• Monitor and evaluate the effects of new accounting pronouncements and regulatory changes on the organization.
• Manage the creation, revision, and upkeep of Company-wide accounting policies, ensuring they stay current with new pronouncements and regulatory updates.
• Establish, document, and educate others on Company-wide accounting policies.
• Work in collaboration with external auditors to provide necessary documentation for policy positions to support external audits.
• Design, implement, and uphold effective internal controls over financial reporting and disclosure controls, identifying and remedying control gaps.
• Engage in monthly and quarterly close review processes to ensure accurate accounting, appropriate judgments, and high-quality external financial reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA or equivalent professional certification is mandatory.
• Over 10 years of progressive experience in public accounting and/or fast-growing, technology-oriented companies, with substantial exposure to complex technical accounting issues.
• Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP along with a working knowledge of IFRS concepts and distinctions.
• Highly self-motivated and responsible, with a demonstrated ability to meet defined objectives and deadlines.
• Comfortable in a fast-paced environment, effectively prioritizing competing demands and managing multiple workstreams at the same time.
• Team-oriented and collaborative, capable of working effectively across various functions and levels within the organization.
