This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.

đź“‹ Description

• Cultivate and sustain in-depth knowledge of the DigitalOcean product suite and the continuously changing cloud landscape.

• Assist in designing, diagramming, and planning infrastructure architectures customized to customer scenarios, clearly communicating solutions to both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Facilitate regular technical consultation sessions and workshops, empowering customers to independently manage their cloud environments.

• Stay updated on best practices in cloud infrastructure and emerging technologies by consistently pursuing and maintaining relevant cloud technology certifications and coursework.

• Oversee and nurture DigitalOcean’s key accounts.

• Collaborate closely with clients to enhance engagement, retention, and the expansion of their DigitalOcean workloads.

• Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key accounts, evaluating their progress, understanding their changing needs, and aligning strategies for future growth.

• Identify avenues for cost savings and performance enhancements, guiding clients to make data-driven choices that optimize their cloud investments.

• Work in partnership with internal teams, including Engineering, Marketing, and Account Managers, to align customer requirements with DigitalOcean’s strategic objectives.

• Actively monitor customer usage patterns, identify potential risks, and discover new opportunities for growth and adoption.

• Serve as the voice of the customer within DigitalOcean, ensuring their requirements are reflected in product development and support processes.

• Coordinate with Engineering and Support teams to swiftly resolve escalations and technical challenges, ensuring seamless customer experiences.

• Deliver engaging presentations to effectively communicate the benefits and functionalities of DigitalOcean’s offerings to customers.

• Create tools and scripts to enhance the efficiency of DigitalOcean’s technical engagements, optimizing the Technical Account Management functions.


⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated experience in cloud infrastructure with extensive knowledge of Linux, distributed systems, and automation.

• Programming or development experience, with foundational skills in at least one mainstream programming language (e.g., Python, Go).

• Familiarity with provisioning and deployment strategies, including tools such as Terraform, Ansible, and Docker.

• Proficiency in at least one leading cloud platform (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).

• Proven success in troubleshooting technical issues effectively.

• Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git), SQL and fundamental database management, CI/CD tools, and principles of AI/ML infrastructure.
