Senior Team Lead Software Development

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Supervise engineers directly while establishing standards for exemplary people management.

• Create and implement a uniform people-management operating model for all team leaders.

• Facilitate performance cycles and organization-wide calibration efforts.

• Engage actively in the hiring process, including participation in interview loops.

• Enhance the onboarding and development experiences for new engineers.

• Assist in constructing the engineering ladder, job structure, and relevant KPIs.

• Maintain around 20–30% hands-on involvement, remain connected to the codebase, and aid in modernizing our systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead overseeing multiple direct reports.

• Strong software engineering foundation.

• Comfortable operating within matrix organizations with distinct product and people leadership.

• Structured and empathetic leadership during challenging feedback discussions, performance issues, and career development.

• Strategic thinking across organizational, process, and cultural dimensions.

• Technical comprehension and the ability to gain engineers' trust.

• High emotional intelligence, conflict-resolution abilities, and clear communication skills.

• Fluent in German; English is used as the primary working language.
