This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Conduct initial and/or final evaluations of work produced by managers, tax seniors, tax staff, and interns.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients within the firm.
• Discover opportunities to provide value-added services to clients by keeping informed about their business requirements.
• Communicate staffing and workload concerns to the Resource Planning team.
• Review and validate assignment objectives, scope, and work plans with clients.
• Address work product challenges using available firm resources.
• Contribute to the creation and management of comprehensive strategies to meet all client needs.
• Identify and investigate technical issues to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Mentor and coach staff to enhance their skills and aid in their career development.
• Seek out and pursue new clients while identifying opportunities to cross-sell additional firm products and services to current clients.
• Assist the partner team in strategizing and planning objectives and budgets.
• Prepare and/or review monthly client invoices.
• Anticipate, identify, and resolve intricate tax-technical issues.
• Efficiently manage both internal and external expectations regarding changes to project deliverables and deadlines.
• Engage in business development initiatives by nurturing existing relationships and helping to uncover new client opportunities.
• CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) certification required.
• Over 10 years of experience in business tax preparation and review.
• Strong project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Self-starter with the capability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• A strong ambition for career progression and aspirations toward future firm ownership.
• A solid work ethic accompanied by a good sense of humor is essential!
