This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts in Australia.

• Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS) and Instalment Activity Statements (IAS).

• Calculate and ensure compliance for GST, Fringe Benefits Tax (FBT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT), and Payroll Tax.

• Generate financial statements adhering to Australian accounting standards.

• Review general ledger accounts, conduct balance sheet reconciliations, and create depreciation schedules.

• Develop comprehensive and precise workpapers to support financial statements and tax returns.

• Guarantee the timely and accurate lodgement of tax returns and compliance obligations with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

• Communicate with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO) regarding client inquiries and compliance issues.

• Oversee multiple client engagements while ensuring quality, accuracy, and compliance with deadlines.

• Keep abreast of Australian taxation legislation and accounting standards.


⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in Australian public practice accounting and taxation.

• Significant expertise in preparing Australian tax returns for individuals, companies, partnerships, and trusts.

• Extensive background in preparing BAS, IAS, GST, FBT, CGT, Payroll Tax, and financial statements.

• Experience in direct communication with the Australian Taxation Office (ATO).

• Strong grasp of Australian taxation legislation and compliance requirements.

• Proficiency in using Xero and MYOB accounting software.

• Bachelor's Degree in Accountancy, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

• CPA or equivalent professional qualification is highly preferred.

• Solid understanding of Australian accounting standards and taxation legislation.

• Proficient in Xero, MYOB, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suite, and Australian taxation and compliance procedures.

• Experience in Australian public practice firms.

• Experience managing a portfolio of Australian clients.

• Exposure to various industries including Construction, Engineering, Healthcare, Professional Services, Real Estate, Retail, Logistics, and Manufacturing.
