This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Develops innovative sourcing strategies to attract talented and diverse candidates using various methods, including job postings, online data mining, social media, internal databases, employee referrals, networking, cold calling, competitor analysis, and participation in career fairs.
• Acts as a strategic business partner with hiring managers to ensure expectations are met and exceeded throughout the hiring process.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory standards and client-specific requirements.
• Creates and manages candidate pipelines while building and maintaining a robust talent network.
• Assists in recruitment planning by analyzing staffing metrics, tracking applicants, and implementing strategies for aging requisitions.
• Identifies applicant requirements by reviewing job descriptions and qualifications.
• Supports recommendations for optimal hiring practices.
• Attracts candidates by advertising job openings through newsgroups and job sites.
• Assesses applicant qualifications through interviews, reference verification, and comparisons against job requirements.
• Coordinates management interviews by scheduling, arranging travel, lodging, and meals, and escorting candidates to interviews, along with organizing community tours.
• Evaluates applicants by discussing job requirements and qualifications with managers and conducting interviews based on a consistent set of criteria.
• Enhances job knowledge by engaging in educational opportunities, reading professional literature, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
• Provides reports to the recruiting manager and other departments as needed.
• Travels as necessary for conferences, client meetings, candidate engagements, and headquarters events.
• A bachelor's degree is required; fields of study in business, communications, or engineering are preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of recruiting experience for senior-level positions is required; experience in the utility and/or electrical field service or engineering is preferred.
• Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and database management is necessary; experience with iCIMS is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey and comprehend information clearly.
• Professional and effective communication skills over the phone.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple medium-to-large projects simultaneously.
• Ability to transition between planned and unplanned tasks in a 24/7 emergency-response environment.
• Utilizes logic and reasoning to assess options and resolve issues.
• Proficient at uniting stakeholders and addressing differences.
• Capable of recognizing potential issues as they arise or may arise.
• Works independently, adapts swiftly to changing priorities, and executes critical tasks with a sense of urgency.
