Senior Systems Engineer – Tandem NonStop

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Maintain and enhance existing systems to guarantee 24x7 uptime on NonStop systems, including client-related connectivity.

• Oversee the planning and implementation of major software releases for Guardian OS, Network, and other critical components.

• Evaluate and apply platform security measures and configurations.

• Assist in the deployment of technology architecture and comprehensive system solutions.

• Detect system performance bottlenecks and propose enhancements for performance improvement.

• Conduct technical research and analysis to evaluate system performance and capacity.

• Offer Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for the entire infrastructure.

• Implement daily continuous improvements on NonStop servers and off-platform servers, including Splunk, Prognosis, Moogsoft, ServicePoint, SharePoint, and BackPak servers, as well as databases, user security, and data security.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of experience with Guardian OS, NonStop SQL, and NonStop hardware platforms.

• At least 5 years of experience in configuring systems within the NonStop platform from end to end.

• Over 5 years of experience working with SQL, Guardian/OSS, NonStop Web Services (SOAP), and XML or JSON.

• A Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline, or a comparable mix of education, military, or professional experience.

• Experience with NonStop Security.

• Familiarity with encryption and key management.

• Experience with NS7X technology (X-Series).

• Background in a large-scale enterprise-level environment.

• Proficient in using a computer and audio equipment.

• Willingness to participate in rotational on-call coverage during non-standard and/or overnight hours.
