Senior Systems Engineer – Server, Microsoft

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide 3rd-level support and manage escalation processes.

• Take charge of escalated incidents from both 1st- and 2nd-level support, conducting root-cause analyses for critical problems.

• Handle tickets in alignment with ITIL procedures while contributing to the team's knowledge base.

• Operate and enhance our Microsoft 365 environments, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, Entra ID, and Intune.

• Automate processes utilizing PowerShell and the Power Platform, and assist with migrations and rollouts.

• Manage and further develop Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, terminal servers, as well as Hyper-V/VMware.

• Oversee customers' storage, backup, and DATEV server environments.

• Implement RMM tools for centralized monitoring and automation.

• Develop technical concepts and architectures for client projects and serve as an expert within the Project Team.

• Collaborate with the enablement team to assess new technologies and assist Sales with technical inquiries.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed IT vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist in System Integration), an IT degree, or a comparable qualification.

• Several years of professional experience in administering Microsoft 365 and server environments, preferably within an IT service provider or system integrator context.

• Strong expertise in Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID, Windows Server, and Active Directory, as well as PowerShell automation.

• Experience in 3rd-level support; certifications such as MS-102, MD-102, or AZ-104 are advantageous.

• A structured, solution-oriented approach to work, even under pressure.

• Excellent communication abilities and a commitment to sharing knowledge within the team.

• Proficient German skills and good English skills.
