Senior Systems Engineer – IT Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• You will manage escalated incidents from 1st- and 2nd-level support and conduct root-cause analyses for critical issues.

• You will handle tickets in accordance with ITIL processes and continuously enhance the team's knowledge base.

• You will actively operate and develop clients' Microsoft 365 environments, focusing on Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Entra ID.

• You will automate administrative tasks and processes utilizing PowerShell and the Power Platform.

• You will administer and further enhance Windows Server infrastructures, including Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, as well as Hyper-V and VMware.

• You will support and optimize storage and backup systems, in addition to customers' DATEV server environments.

• You will manage basic network and firewall infrastructures based on Sophos and FortiGate.

• You will ensure secure customer connectivity while adhering to existing security standards.

• You will design technical customer architectures and develop comprehensive technical concepts.

• You will take on independent technical project management for the planning and execution of customer projects.

• You will actively assist the sales team in presales for technical proposals and engage in customer meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Completed IT training (e.g., IT specialist for system integration), a degree in IT, or a similar qualification.

• Several years of professional experience managing Microsoft 365 and Windows Server environments, preferably in an IT service provider or systems house setting.

• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Entra ID, Windows Server, Active Directory, and PowerShell automation.

• Practical experience with virtualization (Hyper-V/VMware), storage and backup solutions, as well as DATEV server environments.

• Basic knowledge of networking and firewalls, particularly with Sophos or FortiGate.

• Experience in independently managing IT projects from a technical standpoint.

• Ideally, relevant certifications such as MS-102 (Microsoft 365 Administrator), MD-102 (Endpoint Administrator), or AZ-104 (Azure Administrator).
