Senior Systems Engineer – Email Deliverability, Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

• Role Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled, impact-oriented **Senior Systems Engineer** to take charge of, scale, and secure our fundamental email transmission infrastructure.

• Core Responsibilities: 1. Infrastructure Management & High Availability; 2. Deliverability Engine & Authentication Protocol Architecture; 3. Edge Security, Anti-Abuse & Incident Response; 4. Observability & Monitoring.

⛳️ Requirements

• Systems Engineering Background: 5+ years of experience as a Linux Systems Administrator, DevOps, or Infrastructure Engineer with extensive networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, ports, DNS management).

• MTA Mastery: Expert-level skills in configuring, debugging, and optimizing enterprise mail tools such as **Postfix**, **Dovecot**, or **Postal**.

• Security & Filtering: Practical experience in crafting rules and maintaining mail-filtering/anti-abuse applications like **Rspamd** and **Fail2Ban**.

• Observability Pipelines: Demonstrated experience in building or managing log pipelines utilizing **Vector** or similar high-scale telemetry frameworks.

• Infrastructure Automation: Proficiency in implementing network routing layer tools (**HAProxy**, **FRRouting**) and relational databases (**PostgreSQL** replication).

• Certificate Management: Strong knowledge of automated SSL/TLS certificate rotation and multi-node compliance monitoring to prevent broken TLS from causing silent drops.

• Deliverability & Operational Standards: Thorough understanding of the distinction between *Delivery* (server handoff) and *Deliverability* (inbox placement).

• Expert interpretation of aggregate **DMARC reports** using platforms like DMARCian, Valimail, or Postmark.

• Strong commitment to Acceptable Use Policies (AUP): zero tolerance for purchased/scraped lists and a solid understanding of Feedback Loop (FBL) automated triage.
