This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Assist in designing, constructing, and maintaining infrastructure systems that support our core SaaS platform, emphasizing performance, security, reliability, and developer experience.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Engineering, SRE, and Security to advance infrastructure projects from concept to production.
• Assess current systems and implement architectural enhancements that boost scalability, resilience, and operational efficiency.
• Develop and manage infrastructure utilizing infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or comparable technologies.
• Employ configuration management tools such as Ansible, Chef, or similar to enhance consistency and automation across various environments.
• Support and advance containerized platforms and orchestration systems, including technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Nomad.
• Contribute to observability and operational excellence through improvements in monitoring, logging, alerting, and instrumentation.
• Document system designs, platform standards, and operational best practices, providing guidance to developers on effective usage.
• Mentor and support junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, ownership, and ongoing learning.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to assist in maintaining the health, availability, and performance of production systems.
• Substantial experience in backend, DevOps, or infrastructure engineering roles within large-scale SaaS, PaaS, or IaaS environments.
• In-depth experience working with Linux in production settings.
• Advanced understanding of at least one major cloud provider, including AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure as code and automation utilizing tools like Terraform, Pulumi, Ansible, Chef, or similar.
• Expertise in containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, or Nomad.
• Experience in scripting and coding with languages like Bash, Python, Go, or similar.
• A proven history of contributing to large-scale infrastructure migrations, high-availability projects, or performance optimization initiatives.
• Familiarity with observability stacks such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry, or similar tools.
• Exceptional communication skills, with a collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively across engineering teams.
