This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Serve as a key liaison at an enterprise level to define and steer Velera’s technological direction across various teams and initiatives.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, data, platform, and business teams to ensure alignment with a well-defined technology strategy, scalable design principles, and long-term organizational objectives.
• Act as a connector between business strategy and technology implementation, assisting teams in making informed decisions, promoting enterprise standards, and sustaining progress on complex projects.
• Communicate the future-state technology vision, converting intricate technical concepts into business results.
• Guide significant decision-making processes across the organization.
• Organize and lead high-level meetings and workshops with stakeholders and executives to discuss overall project and business strategies and roadmaps.
• Ensure that initiatives align with business priorities and regulatory requirements.
• Create and present executive-level presentations and communications that convey the business value, risks, costs, and outcomes of technical topics.
• Assess emerging technologies and tools, including API and data technologies.
• Track KPIs to evaluate the effectiveness of architecture alignment, governance processes, and delivery results.
• Develop and deliver multi-channel communications that clearly articulate the unique needs of diverse audiences.
• Strategically lead research and analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and insights that support the decision-making of senior leaders and executives.
• Collaborate with architecture and engineering leaders to guarantee that solutions conform to enterprise direction, security expectations, and compliance standards (PCI, SOC2, FFIEC).
• Provide guidance to team members on Agile (Scrum or Kanban, as applicable) best practices and analysis techniques and tools.
• Create, refine, and maintain User Stories/Requirements for projects, map user stories to features, develop epics and features, define acceptance criteria, and lead story estimation sessions.
• Gather, compile, and analyze data from multiple sources to discern trends, patterns, and insights that can inform decision-making, presenting these findings to senior leadership teams.
• Operate with a strong inclination for action—making decisions, eliminating blockers, and sustaining momentum even in uncertain situations.
• Cultivate expertise in systems’ gap and impact analysis to rectify product inefficiencies and pinpoint automation opportunities.
• Lead departmental initiatives with minimal supervision.
• Provide mentoring and training to junior team members and cross-functional teams.
• Execute other assigned duties.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, Business Administration, Finance, or a comparable combination of education and experience is required.
• Over 10 years of business analysis experience in technology, product, data, platform, or engineering is required.
• Strong comprehension of modern technology ecosystems (cloud, data platforms, APIs, distributed systems, etc.) is essential.
• Experience in the financial and card payment sectors is a plus.
• At least 5 years of experience writing complex SQL queries is advantageous.
• More than 5 years of experience in mapping business processes is required.
• Familiarity with Azure Development Ops (ADO) is a significant plus.
• Outstanding communication skills and executive presence, with the ability to facilitate meetings, conduct presentations, influence decisions, and negotiate consensus with minimal supervision.
• Practical understanding of debit/credit card processing, financial systems, mobile solutions, high-availability systems, and data protection practices.
• Excellent grasp of Agile/Lean methodologies.
• Ability to perform detailed data mapping and modeling, as well as create network topology diagrams and process flow diagrams.
