This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.
• Create and evaluate concepts and designs for lunar landers, rovers, surface power systems, and spacecraft.
• Assist in the development of technical content for B&P, R&D, and mission opportunities.
• Establish a system-level technical vision for new products spanning both hardware and software domains.
• Conduct and assess trade studies that inform technical, business, and programmatic decisions.
• Execute and review system-level analysis and first-order sizing of space systems, producing high-level MELs and PELs.
• Formulate and oversee mission concepts of operations, requirements compliance and derivation, launch vehicle requirements, fault management, interface control, V&V plans, and technical risk mitigation strategies.
• Contribute to scheduling, resource allocation, and budget estimates.
• Engage with engineering disciplines, partners, customers, and vendors to address technical risks and challenges.
• Take part in customer and partner visits as well as technical interchange meetings.
• Convert customer requirements into product objectives and system architectures for clients, proposals, and stakeholders.
• Join cross-functional meetings to ensure solutions are aligned with mission, business, and technology-roadmap requirements.
• B.S. in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a closely related field, along with 5–10 years of pertinent engineering experience.
• Proven experience in space system development, systems engineering, structure/thermal design and analysis, avionics, power systems, propulsion, orbital mechanics, electrical systems, mechanical and fluid systems, software and controls, and/or manufacturing.
• Experience in developing technical content for proposals and presentations for external customers.
• Experience in authoring and breaking down mission- and system-level requirements.
• Strong grasp of launch, space, and lunar environments.
• Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
• Must qualify under U.S. export regulations as a U.S. Person: U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual.
• Must be eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations from the U.S. Department of State or U.S. Department of Commerce.
