Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Engage in communication and collaboration with the product development team and various stakeholders.

• Design, implement, and manage a Kubernetes platform utilizing Cluster API for both bare-metal and cloud providers.

• Establish and maintain the infrastructure for production and staging environments.

• Design, implement, and manage GitLab CI pipelines, alongside GitOps and Infrastructure as Code practices.

• Respond to monitoring events, which includes periodic on-call responsibilities during both day and night.

• Enhance the efficiency of infrastructure maintenance and support processes.

• Contribute to the design of intricate IT systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience as a System Engineer, SRE, DevOps, or Platform Engineer.

• Profound understanding of Linux-like operating systems, including administration and troubleshooting skills.

• Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, and OCI.

• Experience working with bare-metal infrastructure from various hosting providers.

• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform, Pulumi, or Crossplane.

• Knowledge of the GitOps methodology, particularly with tools like Flux and ArgoCD.

• Experience in setting up and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using GitLab or GitHub.

• Familiarity with configuration management systems such as Ansible or Saltstack.

• Experience with CDN, traffic, and domain management tools like CloudFlare, Fastly, Akamai, or AWS CloudFront/Route53.

• Experience with monitoring systems, including Prometheus, Grafana, and similar tools.

• Practical knowledge of PostgreSQL clusters, particularly with Patroni or CNPG.

• Experience in managing Kafka, including tools like Kafka and Strimzi.

• Proficient in English and Russian at a B1+ level (Intermediate+).
