Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the administration and improvement of Okta, which includes SSO, MFA, and Lifecycle Management strategies.

• Create and manage automated workflows utilizing Okta Workflows, REST APIs, and identity orchestration tools.

• Play a key role in shaping the enterprise IAM strategy, implementing Zero Trust architecture, and developing RBAC policies.

• Assess and lead the technical onboarding of SaaS tools to ensure compliance with security, integration, and regulatory standards.

• Collaborate with InfoSec, HRIS, and other organizational units.

• Engage in incident response and root cause analysis; act as the escalation point for complex platform challenges.

• Contribute to the development of enterprise systems roadmaps and selection of tools.

• Draft technical standards, system configurations, and procedural runbooks.

• Participate in an on-call rotation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in enterprise IT or systems engineering.

• At least 2 years of substantial, hands-on experience in Okta administration.

• Strong understanding of SSO protocols, including SAML, OIDC, and OAuth.

• Demonstrated expertise in integrating and securing significant SaaS platforms within a high-growth, regulated environment.

• Proficient in Python, PowerShell, Postman, and Okta Workflows.

• Exceptional ability to work with REST APIs for data orchestration and system integration.

• Extensive experience in an Agile, sprint-based environment.

• Familiarity with Jira for sprint planning and tracking progress.

• Preferred: Okta Certified Professional or Administrator certification.

• Preferred: Knowledge of identity governance tools or privileged access management.

• Preferred: Experience using Terraform for cloud identity or SaaS configurations.

• Preferred: Understanding of ITSM frameworks and service delivery processes.
