Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Take charge of Share’s network-facing infrastructure, which includes the FreeRADIUS proxy servers for authenticating ISP subscribers, the provisioning pipeline that delivers credentials and plan attributes to partner-specific RADIUS servers, the BNG integration layer, and the deployment and monitoring of all systems infrastructure.

• Configure FreeRADIUS servers, develop deployment scripts, diagnose authentication failures on live networks, and design the infrastructure capable of scaling from 5 ISP clients to 50.

• Collaborate directly with the network team (responsible for ISP-side BNG configuration) and the software team (who develop the APIs that facilitate provisioning).

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in systems engineering or network engineering, with hands-on exposure to RADIUS (including FreeRADIUS, Radiator, or NPS) in a production ISP or telecommunications setting.

• Extensive expertise in FreeRADIUS. You can configure virtual servers, write unlang policies, establish proxy realms, set up SQL modules, and troubleshoot authentication issues using packet captures.

• Proficient in Linux systems administration. You handle production servers, develop deployment scripts, configure firewalls, and resolve networking problems at the operating system level.

• Familiarity with PPPoE authentication, DHCP, IP pool management, and the interaction between BNGs and RADIUS servers.

• Experience in deploying and overseeing infrastructure in production environments — not solely in development settings.

• Comfortable with scripting and light application development.
