This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Offer systems engineering assistance for the digital transformation and automation efforts of the Coast Guard.
• Evaluate operational requirements and generate technical recommendations for enterprise modernization.
• Aid in systems integration, requirements management, architecture development, and solution engineering.
• Create CONOPS, requirements documentation, interface definitions, workflows, and technical evaluations.
• Assist with automation pilot assessments, feasibility studies, and implementation planning.
• Convert operational requirements into traceable UAFML model artifacts.
• Develop and sustain enterprise and system architecture models using Cameo Enterprise Architecture.
• Conduct model queries, validation checks, and trade studies.
• Collaborate with cloud, cybersecurity, data, and application development teams.
• Engage in governance boards, technical reviews, stakeholder meetings, and program status briefings.
• Facilitate alignment of enterprise architecture across Coast Guard mission systems and platforms.
• Identify opportunities for process automation, workflow enhancement, and operational efficiency.
• Assist in creating technical roadmaps, migration plans, and implementation strategies.
• Monitor project risks, dependencies, technical challenges, and integration effects.
• Contribute to ongoing improvement, technical standards development, and operational readiness planning.
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, along with 4–8 years of relevant experience, or 2–6 years with a related master’s degree.
• Additional experience may be considered as a substitute for a degree.
• Experience in supporting complex federal IT, systems engineering, or modernization projects.
• Experience with systems integration, enterprise architecture, or digital transformation projects.
• Familiarity with systems engineering lifecycle processes and requirements management methodologies.
• OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional (OCSMP) Model Builder certification.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust clearance.
• Preferred: experience supporting DHS or U.S. Coast Guard initiatives.
• Preferred: familiarity with AWS/Azure, ServiceNow, Salesforce, or enterprise automation platforms.
• Preferred: knowledge of enterprise integration, digital engineering, and automation governance practices.
• Preferred: experience with MBSE, SysML, BPMN, or enterprise architecture frameworks.
