This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Lead and engage in the development of enterprise-level direction and strategy for Server/Network infrastructure.
• Conduct research and assess current and emerging technologies and methodologies, providing recommendations for technology initiatives.
• Undertake Server/Network architect responsibilities and contribute to strategic planning for effective technology solutions.
• Analyze capacity, anticipate growth requirements, and keep track of technology and industry trends.
• Evaluate new technologies based on functionality, interoperability, reliability, availability, supportability, and return on investment.
• Suggest upgrades, enhancements, and lifecycle replacement plans for hardware, software, and communication media.
• Manage a large, intricate, multi-segment wired and wireless network infrastructure, including firewalls, switches, access points, and internet connections.
• Design, develop, install, integrate, maintain, and support infrastructure utilizing various technologies, protocols, vendor products, and systems.
• Establish network standards, naming conventions, and addressing protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate network traffic and capacity utilization to enhance performance and availability.
• Analyze data to identify and rectify communication bottlenecks.
• Provide leadership and guidance as the lead engineer and oversee Server/Network upgrades and conversions.
• Formulate and recommend Server/Network contingency and disaster recovery strategies.
• Develop specifications for hardware, software, and cabling upgrades.
• Assess and recommend network and systems hardware, software, monitoring tools, and utilities.
• Create and maintain network documentation and reference materials.
• Execute advanced troubleshooting and third-tier problem resolution.
• Design innovative internal solutions that facilitate organizational scaling.
• Offer third-level technical support and systems administration for escalated issues.
• Plan, design, configure, implement, maintain, and support server hardware, software, and management tools.
• Provide strategic planning, disaster recovery, and redundancy support.
• Prepare detailed project management documentation for significant projects and strategic plans.
• Bachelor's Degree is required.
• 5–10 years of experience in systems and network engineering, IT, or a related field.
• Industry Standard Technical Certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, ITIL).
• Strong understanding of systems and network engineering principles, methodologies, and tools.
• Proficient in Microsoft Server Operating System(s), including administration, configuration, and support.
• Experience with networking protocols, hardware, and infrastructure, such as Cisco/Meraki, Fortinet, Juniper, or Aruba.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working effectively in a team environment.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized, able to manage multiple projects at once.
• Familiarity with industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
