Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Provide consulting services in technology and product areas, along with technical sales support for account opportunities.

• Deliver both comprehensive and detailed technical presentations to customers, prospects, and channel partners.

• Assist with responses to RFI/RFP requests.

• Organize and lead activities related to Proof of Concept.

• Design solutions that align with customer requirements.

• Participate as a specialist within designated virtual teams.

• Contribute to various team activities.

• Travel both domestically and internationally as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional presentation skills; fluent in both German and English.

• Proven track record in pre-sales engineering within the industry and territory in a comparable role.

• Comprehensive understanding of Layer 2/3 switching.

• Familiarity with IPv4/v6 routing concepts.

• Knowledge of overlay networking and VPN technologies.

• Understanding of Wi-Fi operation and design principles.

• Awareness of network security principles.

• Beneficial knowledge and practical experience with cloud technologies and cloud-based network management platforms.

• Familiarity with the principles of compute and network virtualization is advantageous.

• Understanding of network management and orchestration software is desirable.

• Knowledge of SD-WAN technology is advantageous.

• Familiarity with automation scripting and APIs is a plus.

• Ability to collaborate on customer project teams, design and PoC labs, establish successful PoC criteria, and create solution designs.

• Capacity to build and sustain customer and partner relationships as a trusted advisor.

• Willingness to take on a team-lead role when necessary.

• Experience working with partners is an advantage.

• Experience with major accounts and closing deals is essential.

• Extreme Networks certifications are preferred but not required.

• Recognized industry certification is a plus.

• Ability to showcase knowledge of emerging trends and market directions.

• Capability to support customer evaluations, demonstrations, and detailed design specifications.

• Strong hands-on lab experience is required.
