Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Oversee the coordination, setup, configuration, and deployment of network, computing, and/or storage infrastructure while ensuring compliance with established protocols.

• Develop and uphold standard operating procedures and best practices for the deployment and management of infrastructure.

• Actively engage in business audits and lead assessments of emerging technologies.

• Monitor system performance, pinpoint areas needing enhancement, and implement effective solutions.

• Uphold and advocate for agile development best practices, design patterns, and coding standards within the team.

• Collaborate closely with product managers and team members to thoroughly understand user stories and create technical stories that facilitate the delivery of valuable solutions.

• Design and execute scripting and automation tools for effective infrastructure management.

• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and implement infrastructure solutions for intricate projects.

• Participate in architectural discussions and decisions, shaping the technical direction of projects.

• Spearhead the creation and upkeep of high-quality documentation for features and solutions developed, encouraging best practices for knowledge sharing and contributing to a well-maintained knowledge base.

• Foster personal and team development by actively monitoring industry trends and new technologies, while engaging proactively in learning activities to enhance technical expertise.

⛳️ Requirements

• At least 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure management.

• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
