This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Ensure the reliability, integrity, and effective operation of information systems that support essential organizational functions.
• Monitor, maintain, support, and enhance networked software and associated operating systems.
• Collaborate with infrastructure teams to guarantee the dependable functioning of software and systems.
• Define business requirements and system objectives in conjunction with executives, decision-makers, and stakeholders.
• Identify and resolve issues related to business systems.
• Design and implement new applications as well as enhancements to existing software and operating systems.
• Conduct cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses for proposed systems.
• Research software and systems products and provide support for purchasing decisions.
• Negotiate with vendors, outsourcing firms, and contractors for system-related products and services.
• Offer operational support for integration and M&A initiatives.
• Assess system effectiveness and efficiency, implementing strategies for improvement.
• Create system design models, specifications, diagrams, and charts.
• Design and conduct server and security audits, backup procedures, and recovery processes.
• Integrate database, email, print, and backup servers along with associated software into enterprise systems.
• Ensure connectivity among servers, shared software, groupware, and applications.
• Maintain documentation for system configuration, mapping, processes, and services.
• Ensure compatibility and interoperability of in-house computing systems.
• Coordinate and execute thorough testing, including end-user reviews.
• Monitor and assess system performance, delivering performance statistics and reports.
• Provide orientation and training for end users.
• Mentor and support System Engineers.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.
• Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in System Engineering.
• Demonstrated experience overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software systems and applications.
• Proven expertise in systems planning, security principles, and best practices in general software management.
• Knowledge of relevant data privacy regulations and practices.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong project management capabilities.
• Ability to research systems issues and products as needed.
• Proficiency in communicating ideas in both technical and user-friendly terms.
• Highly self-motivated, with a strong attention to detail.
• Established analytical and creative problem-solving skills.
