Senior Systems Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee the daily operations of SaaS delivery environments alongside strategic initiatives focused on reliability, scalability, and quality of service.

• Manage incident response and monitor the delivery of production services.

• Deliver outstanding customer service and assist with help desk support.

• Administer and uphold the operations of the Acumatica SaaS deployment lifecycle.

• Formulate and execute strategies for the administration and maintenance of the SaaS deployment lifecycle.

• Operate and sustain AWS environments in accordance with established protocols.

• Recognize and execute optimization opportunities while resolving intricate service delivery challenges.

• Provide level 3 support for issues initiated by customers and partners.

• Mentor junior engineers.

• Identify system deficiencies and propose innovative solutions.

• Document forecasts, plans, and resolutions.

• Propel innovation and introduce new tools, technologies, policies, and procedures for ongoing improvement.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure organizational alignment and consistency.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in relational databases, preferably with MS SQL, including database design and optimization.

• At least 5 years of experience in managing websites, ideally using IIS, encompassing web application development and deployment.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in basic scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python.

• At least 1 year of experience with DevOps tools and practices, including Jenkins and Git.

• A minimum of 1 year of experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS or Azure.

• Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.

• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and a strong customer-focused mindset.

• Analytical skills and problem-solving aptitude.

• Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure, just-in-time environment.

• Experience with Accounting, ERP, or other business management software is an advantage.

• Willingness to participate in a weekend on-call rotation.
