This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.
• Collect and refine requirements from stakeholders, map workflows, and design Epic configurations that align with operational objectives and policies.
• Create and uphold specifications, decision logs, design documents, configuration documentation, and process documentation.
• Perform gap analyses for upgrades, regulatory modifications, and new initiatives.
• Oversee smaller system implementation and upgrade projects utilizing either waterfall or agile methodologies.
• Mentor junior analysts and offer guidance on best practices.
• Configure Epic records, master files, profiles, rules, security classes, and workflows.
• Develop and implement unit, integrated, and UAT test plans; address defects and document evidence.
• Validate interfaces, printing, reporting, downstream workflows, and regression coverage.
• Coordinate release management, environment transitions, and downtime protocols.
• Provide go-live and post-live hypercare, including rounding, office hours, tip sheets, and at-the-elbow support.
• Manage service requests and incidents, ensuring SLAs are met through triage and root-cause analysis.
• Support Epic, Workday, Kronos, and other applications.
• Collaborate with interface, analytics, IT, clinical, and operational teams on integrations, extracts, registries, and reporting.
• Assist with regulatory compliance, audits, privacy/security controls, and ITIL-aligned management processes.
• Design and implement tailored Epic training programs.
• Govern and maintain the CareConnect curriculum and training environments.
• Communicate updates on system releases and upgrades.
• Manage end-user training requests and incidents while enhancing support processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
• A minimum of 5–7 years of experience in system analysis and support within a healthcare setting.
• Alternatively, 10+ years of experience in system analysis and support within a healthcare environment in lieu of a degree.
• Experience with Epic applications and healthcare workflows.
• Strong skills in requirements gathering, workflow design, and testing.
• Familiarity with ITIL, change control, SDLC, system governance, and both waterfall and agile methodologies.
• Ability to engage with clinical and operational stakeholders as well as managed service providers.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex projects and leading cross-functional teams.
• For Application Training: Epic Training Environment Build certification, 3+ years of experience, and 2 Epic Application Principal Trainer certifications.
• For Application Build: current Epic certification or proficiency in relevant modules, along with 3+ years of Epic build/configuration experience.
• For Application Build: experience in system integration, HL7, FHIR, and interface testing.
• Preferred: leadership or supervisory experience; familiarity with SQL/Clarity, Caboodle, SlicerDicer, Radar, or Reporting Workbench; experience in patient access, billing, coding, finance, or clinical operations; knowledge of healthcare regulations; AWS/Azure; and business intelligence and analytics tools.
• ITIL Foundation certification is desired but not mandatory.
• An advanced degree is a plus but not required.
