Senior Systems Administrator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage and provide support for ClearPath OS2200 environments encompassing installation, configuration, daily operations, and lifecycle management.

• Oversee system health, performance, availability, and capacity to ensure stable, secure, and efficient operations.

• Direct system upgrades, patching, maintenance, and environmental modifications utilizing controlled ITIL change management practices.

• Configure and support essential platform services such as TCP/IP networking, batch processing, printing, storage, tape, and security controls.

• Evaluate system performance trends, resolve complex technical challenges, and implement tuning enhancements to maximize throughput and resilience.

• Facilitate integration with database, middleware, transaction, and application workloads across customer environments.

• Create and sustain automation, monitoring scripts, and operational tools to enhance efficiency and minimize manual efforts.

• Address incidents, engage in on-call support, and manage escalations during critical outages or service disruptions.

• Develop and update technical documentation, runbooks, operational procedures, and materials for knowledge transfer.

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver dependable managed services, ensure disaster recovery preparedness, and promote continuous service improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• In-depth expertise in ClearPath OS2200 system administration.

• Experience with mainframe OS installation, configuration, and monitoring.

• Proficient in TCP/IP networking and certificate management.

• Familiarity with workload automation tools such as OpCon, Control-M, and AMS.

• Knowledge of tape and storage management systems (STAR, Disk, VTL).

• Experience with RDMS/DMS database environments and their integration.

• Background in batch and transaction processing systems.

• Must have authorization to work and reside in the United States.
