Senior System Administrator – Microsoft Platforms

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Accountable for overseeing and executing Microsoft 365 functionalities within the organization.

• Enhance the performance of Microsoft platforms; tackle failing automations, sprawl, and technical debt.

• Develop solutions that fulfill or surpass business requirements on Microsoft platforms, including SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure.

• Monitor development activities in Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar tools; collaborate with the business to maintain a prioritized backlog.

• Advocate for the utilization of Microsoft 365 services as suitable for our business; foster a ‘maker community’ of citizen developers.

• Formulate and uphold policies, practices, and governance controls pertinent to the area of expertise; accurately document these for future reference, updating as necessary.

• Establish and sustain development best practices for Microsoft platforms.

• Stay informed on feature releases, updates, and bugs related to Microsoft platforms.

• Leverage expertise to mentor and guide junior-level team members; assist in resolving escalated issues as required.

• Supervise and delegate tasks to junior-level systems administrators and contractors.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree directly related to the position or equivalent, required.

• At least five years of experience in system administration-related roles.

• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Platforms including SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure.

• Daily administration of Microsoft Platforms including SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure, encompassing policy and configuration modifications.

• Experience in supporting the synchronization and sharing of large volumes of data using OneDrive.

• Advanced skills in managing SharePoint, Power Platform, and Azure through PowerShell.

• Familiarity with ISACA and SANS Frameworks.

• Self-motivated individual with a proven ability to learn and adapt to new technologies and techniques.

• Capability to organize and manage multiple priorities concurrently in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Exceptional verbal and communication skills are essential.
