This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Administer and provide support for cloud-native infrastructure that underpins the telecommunication systems of the FBI CJIS, with a primary focus on AWS-hosted services such as AWS Connect, EC2, and S3.
• Carry out daily system administration responsibilities within AWS GovCloud, which includes provisioning, configuring, monitoring, and patching Linux-based virtual machines.
• Oversee telephony workloads and services in AWS Connect, ensuring optimal availability, security, and performance for essential communication.
• Track cloud system performance through CloudWatch, CloudTrail, and Splunk, diagnosing and resolving infrastructure issues to ensure continuous 24/7 operation.
• Implement and uphold system hardening, encryption, IAM roles, network policies (including VPC and security groups), and multi-factor authentication to meet FBI CJIS security standards.
• Utilize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Ansible, or Terraform to automate the provisioning and configuration of infrastructure.
• Aid in the secure backup and recovery processes for cloud environments, ensuring alignment with federal continuity and audit requirements.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices in partnership with cloud developers.
• Engage in SAFe Agile ceremonies, including planning sessions, stand-ups, retrospectives, and system demonstrations.
• Participate in an on-call rotation to ensure swift responses to incidents affecting telecommunication systems.
• Over 7 years of experience in administering Linux systems.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, ideally within GovCloud or similar secure environments.
• Comprehensive knowledge of AWS Connect operations, including call flow configuration, contact lens integration, and integration with AWS Lex/Lambda.
• Proficient in implementing and managing AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM), CloudWatch, S3, EC2, and CloudFormation.
• Understanding of networking concepts in cloud environments, including VPC, routing tables, security groups, and load balancing.
• Practical experience in automating cloud infrastructure using tools like Ansible, Terraform, or CloudFormation.
• Familiarity with cloud security best practices, including NIST 800-53 and FedRAMP-aligned controls.
• Experience operating within SAFe Agile environments utilizing JIRA and Confluence.
