This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Develop cloud-based software systems, including APIs and websites, as part of a multidisciplinary Agile team.
• Collect and document technical requirements.
• Collaborate with product managers, technical support, and clients to comprehend needs, provide integration/onboarding and ongoing support, and relay customer feedback.
• Choose development methodologies for uncertain and evolving requirements.
• Work alongside architects on technical design and feasibility assessments, and provide implementation estimates.
• Create software programs and systems that align with user requirements.
• Conduct tests and deliver high-quality software solutions.
• Implement development, testing, and deployment best practices within an Agile framework.
• Enhance quality management and business processes.
• Assist product assurance in identifying and resolving bugs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation for applications.
• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field with 5–8 years of relevant experience, Master’s degree with 2–5 years of equivalent industry experience, or PhD with 0–2 years of experience.
• Extensive experience in developing full-stack applications, ideally in a cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficient in modern authentication and SSO frameworks like OAuth 2.0, OpenID, and/or SAML.
• Strong programming skills in Kotlin, Java, Angular, JavaScript, TypeScript, Scala, or similar languages.
• Experience in building frontend and backend applications using contemporary frameworks and technologies.
• Skilled in developing applications in distributed systems utilizing message brokers.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases such as Cassandra, MongoDB, or DynamoDB, as well as RDBMS like MySQL, Postgres, or Oracle.
• Knowledge of current software testing tools and equipment.
• Experience in building cloud-based container components and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience in working on components within a distributed environment.
• Capability to thrive in a dynamic team setting and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Participation in Agile software development processes.
• Exposure to GitHub Actions, Helm, Kubernetes, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Willingness to engage in an application on-call rotation.
• Travel requirement of 0–5%.
