This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +2 more states.
• Oversee and maintain Amcor's Altruistiq sustainability data platform, focusing on user management, data validation, and platform configuration.
• Execute quarterly data validation processes and provide completion reports along with reminder communications.
• Evaluate site-level data methodology templates and provide training for platform users.
• Assist with Scope 3 GHG reporting, sustainability targets, and reporting obligations to Amcor Limited.
• Create and sustain sustainability dashboards and reporting tools for PCR, recyclability, and transportation metrics.
• Streamline data retrieval processes and enhance data collection, assurance protocols, and analytical insights.
• Gather and verify packaging and component data across various product lines.
• Manage extensive datasets encompassing SKUs, customers, and product lines, rectifying data-quality challenges.
• Document analytical methodologies and assumptions to ensure transparency and readiness for audits.
• Conduct Life Cycle Assessments and share findings at conferences, trade expos, and customer meetings.
• Facilitate customer discussions regarding LCA methodology, carbon reduction strategies, and sustainability commitments.
• Oversee Extended Producer Responsibility reporting and assist customers in meeting EPR requirements.
• Administer Sedex ethical responsibility reporting across manufacturing locations.
• Support both internal and external audits, including those conducted by Intertek.
• Lead recyclability reporting efforts and contribute to sustainability reports and disclosures.
• Coordinate QSR reporting and assist with corporate sustainability disclosures.
• Investigate market trends, competitive activities, customer insights, and emerging technologies.
• Maintain databases that cover competitors, customers, market trends, packaging technologies, and commercial insights.
• Assist with strategic planning, mergers & acquisitions, and business development initiatives.
• Explore packaging technologies, manufacturing processes, and sustainability innovations.
• Develop marketing materials, customer presentations, sales collateral, press releases, and communications for product launches.
• Support customer meetings with sustainability data, market insights, competitive intelligence, and technical information.
• Bachelor's degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Business, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• 2–5 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, market research, marketing/business analytics, or a similar analytical role.
• Proficiency with sustainability data platforms and GHG reporting frameworks, including GHG Protocol and Scope 1/2/3.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data management capabilities.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to convey complex information clearly to a variety of audiences.
• Experience managing large datasets and converting data into actionable business insights.
• Strong project management and organizational talents.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Capacity to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and cultivate internal and external relationships.
• Familiarity with Altruistiq, Sedex, or similar sustainability/ESG platforms is preferred.
• Understanding of Life Cycle Assessment methodologies and tools is preferred.
• Knowledge of Extended Producer Responsibility regulations is preferred.
• Experience supporting third-party audits is preferred.
• Proficiency in Power BI, Tableau, or similar analytical tools is preferred.
• Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems is preferred.
• Knowledge of the packaging, plastics, or manufacturing sector is preferred.
• Ability to meet physical requirements, including lifting and carrying more than 50 pounds.
