Senior Survey Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Develop high-quality survey deliverables, such as Topographic surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Exhibits, plats, and supplementary drawings.

• Create accurate surfaces, contours, and terrain models utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D.

• Generate CAD drawings that comply with company drafting standards and industry regulations.

• Construct 3D models and surfaces from point cloud data, lidar, or photogrammetric sources.

• Execute field-to-office data reduction, data cleanup, and precise plotting of survey points.

• Review personal work for accuracy, completeness, and adherence to applicable standards.

• Analyze and interpret Title reports, CC&Rs, Agreements, dedications, vacations, and Easement documents.

• Calculate and plot boundary lines, easements, right-of-way features, and property dimensions.

• Assist in resolving boundary elements utilizing established surveying principles and legal frameworks.

• Investigate property information, including deeds, Records of Survey, tract maps, parcel maps, and as-built documentation.

• Process GPS and conventional field data using Trimble Business Center and other surveying software.

• Adjust and validate control networks; conduct coordinate transformations under supervision.

• Ensure the proper application of coding conventions, attribute data, and quality checks.

• Perform limited field checks or site visits to confirm critical information.

• Other responsibilities as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience in Land Surveying.

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Land Surveying.

• Land Surveyor in Training (LSIT) certification in California is preferred.

• General proficiency in computers, including Microsoft Office, Adobe, Internet applications, Bluebeam, etc.

• Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D is required.

• Experience with Trimble Business Center is required.

• Knowledge and understanding of various types of utility plans.
