📋 Description

• Formulate and implement supplier development strategies that align with the organization's objectives.

• Improve supplier performance and capabilities to accommodate growing demand.

• Set and uphold standards for supplier performance.

• Perform regular assessments of supplier capacity.

• Work collaboratively with suppliers to pinpoint opportunities for enhancement.

• Propel innovation in supplier processes and product offerings.

• Promote continuous improvement and identify cost-saving initiatives.

• Build and nurture strategic relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.

• Identify and allocate resources for developing supplier capabilities.

• Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with suppliers, including disruptions, quality concerns, and compliance issues.

• Oversee the supplier development budget and manage resource allocation effectively.

• Collaborate with suppliers to spearhead and support OPEX projects that enhance product flow, throughput, lead time, and yield.

• Serve as the primary contact within the supplier readiness organization for APU platforms and customers, working closely with supplier development engineers and the supply chain team.

• Report directly to the Sr. Director of Mechanical Assembly and APU Supplier Development.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical field such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.

• Over 6 years of experience in supplier development, engineering, or a comparable leadership position.

• Strong proficiency in budget management and financial analysis.

• Extensive knowledge of supplier development strategies, supplier relationship management, and quality assurance.

• Experience in strategic sourcing, supplier performance evaluation, and capability enhancement.

• Proven ability to drive innovation in supplier processes and implement cost-saving measures.

• Superior communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Capacity to enact change and influence stakeholders effectively.

• Demonstrated success in achieving results.

• Ability to act decisively and with urgency.

• Skills in developing and enhancing management operating systems.

• Strong expertise in enhancing supplier capabilities to meet quality, cost, and delivery standards.

• Thorough understanding of comprehensive supply chain management.

• Cross-functional experience in engineering/technology, operations, and sales/marketing interfaces.

• Competence in analyzing supplier performance metrics.

• Skills in identifying and mitigating risks within the supplier network.

• Proficiency in managing cross-functional projects that involve both suppliers and internal teams.

• Familiarity with lean principles aimed at improving supplier processes and minimizing waste.

• Ability to foster continuous improvement and operational efficiency.

• Knowledge of enterprise resource planning systems.

• Must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or an individual with protected asylum or refugee status in the U.S.
