This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Evaluate prepared FHA supplemental claims for FHA loans prior to submission.
β’ Ensure claims are reviewed promptly and accurately in accordance with insurer guidelines and requirements.
β’ Verify the precision of initial claim analyses, initial claim payments, and new advances included in supplemental claim submissions.
β’ Confirm that all necessary documentation is present in claim files and uploaded to the agency system.
β’ Keep records updated in LoanServ and refresh CITs when actions occur.
β’ Provide feedback to claim filers identified during quality reviews and follow up within a 24-hour timeframe.
β’ Maintain monthly performance that aligns with quality expectations.
β’ Complete ad hoc projects related to FHA loans and supplemental claims.
β’ Stay informed about changes in GSE guidelines, industry standards, and client expectations.
β’ Ensure timely completion of assigned projects and tasks, renegotiating deadlines when necessary.
β’ Identify process enhancements to minimize costs and eliminate unnecessary or manual tasks.
β’ Keep the Team Lead and Supervisor updated on trends and issues, including claim denials, curtailments, and payment offsets.
β’ Work under general supervision to achieve departmental objectives and reduce financial losses to CMS and its clients.
β’ Acquire new skills and broaden job knowledge.
β’ High School diploma is mandatory.
β’ An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.
β’ Minimum of three (3) years of prior FHA claims experience.
β’ At least two (2) years of quality assurance experience.
β’ Strong understanding of Default Servicing processes, including Loss Mitigation, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Conveyance, and Claims.
β’ Familiarity with mortgage servicing state, federal, and agency guidelines and timelines.
β’ In-depth knowledge of FHA default claim processes and agency guidelines.
β’ Proficient in MS Word and Excel.
β’ Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities.
β’ Strong writing skills, including correct punctuation, grammar, organization, and formatting.
β’ Capability to substantiate facts and document them accurately.
β’ Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, management, investors/insurers, and third parties.
β’ Competence to make decisions with moderate impact on the immediate work unit.
β’ Ability to identify urgent issues and escalate them appropriately.
β’ Capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure with shifting priorities.
