Senior Supplemental Claims Recovery, Analysis Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate prepared FHA supplemental claims for FHA loans prior to submission.

• Ensure claims are reviewed promptly and accurately in accordance with insurer guidelines and requirements.

• Verify the precision of initial claim analyses, initial claim payments, and new advances included in supplemental claim submissions.

• Confirm that all necessary documentation is present in claim files and uploaded to the agency system.

• Keep records updated in LoanServ and refresh CITs when actions occur.

• Provide feedback to claim filers identified during quality reviews and follow up within a 24-hour timeframe.

• Maintain monthly performance that aligns with quality expectations.

• Complete ad hoc projects related to FHA loans and supplemental claims.

• Stay informed about changes in GSE guidelines, industry standards, and client expectations.

• Ensure timely completion of assigned projects and tasks, renegotiating deadlines when necessary.

• Identify process enhancements to minimize costs and eliminate unnecessary or manual tasks.

• Keep the Team Lead and Supervisor updated on trends and issues, including claim denials, curtailments, and payment offsets.

• Work under general supervision to achieve departmental objectives and reduce financial losses to CMS and its clients.

• Acquire new skills and broaden job knowledge.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School diploma is mandatory.

• An Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in accounting or a related field is preferred.

• Minimum of three (3) years of prior FHA claims experience.

• At least two (2) years of quality assurance experience.

• Strong understanding of Default Servicing processes, including Loss Mitigation, Bankruptcy, Foreclosure, Conveyance, and Claims.

• Familiarity with mortgage servicing state, federal, and agency guidelines and timelines.

• In-depth knowledge of FHA default claim processes and agency guidelines.

• Proficient in MS Word and Excel.

• Exceptional attention to detail, time management, and organizational abilities.

• Strong writing skills, including correct punctuation, grammar, organization, and formatting.

• Capability to substantiate facts and document them accurately.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with staff, management, investors/insurers, and third parties.

• Competence to make decisions with moderate impact on the immediate work unit.

• Ability to identify urgent issues and escalate them appropriately.

• Capacity to manage multiple tasks under pressure with shifting priorities.
