This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the procurement team and implement effective performance measures and metrics.
• Ensure the team possesses the necessary knowledge and skills to conduct assigned purchasing tasks, providing on-the-job training and support to bridge any skill and knowledge gaps.
• Assist team members in collaborating with stakeholders and subject matter experts to clarify, define, and refine the scope of supply, purchasing requirements, and statements of work for procurement activities.
• Manage adherence to the procurement process, ensuring that all necessary approvals are secured before the release of purchase orders.
• Collaborate with relevant specialists to resolve identified conflicts and/or risks regarding terms and supplier conditions that deviate from standard company purchase order terms.
• Facilitate vendor engagement activities, including negotiations and supplier performance management as required.
• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience, along with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field coupled with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
• An active and transferable U.S. government-issued security clearance is mandatory prior to the start date.
• U.S. citizenship is essential, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
• Proven experience in software procurement, including negotiating software licensing terms and conditions, with a solid understanding of End User License Agreements (EULA).
• Requires substantial knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects, and strategies within the procurement domain.
• Requires comprehensive knowledge and skills in procurement and contracting, along with an understanding of how work impacts other areas of the organization.
• Demonstrated experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (Finance, Program Management, Engineering, etc.).
• Proven experience in procurement activities and managing relationships with internal customers and suppliers.
• Demonstrated capability in managing a geographically dispersed team and influencing operational parties to meet objectives within a compliance framework.
• This position will necessitate occasional on-site availability in TX, CO, or VA.
