Senior Structural Engineer – OpenSees, AI Training & Evaluation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Design realistic AI training tasks based on concepts from structural engineering and authentic design challenges.

• Develop clear problem statements related to engineering that encompass structural analysis, design, simulation, and adherence to codes.

• Create reference solutions along with deterministic scoring criteria to assess AI-generated outputs.

• Utilize OpenSees and other methodologies in structural engineering to construct engineering tasks.

• Formulate evaluation scenarios that cover areas such as: Pushover analysis, Seismic design, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Reinforced concrete design, Steel connection detailing, and Structural retrofit.

• Assess AI-generated engineering solutions for their technical accuracy, engineering judgment, and compliance with relevant design codes.

• Provide structured feedback aimed at enhancing AI performance within the realm of structural engineering.

• Operate independently in a fully remote and flexible work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline (Master's or PhD is an advantage).

• Professional experience in structural analysis and design.

• Practical experience with OpenSees.

• Solid understanding of structural design standards such as ACI 318, AISC 360, or Eurocode (EN 1992, EN 1993, EN 1998).

• Familiarity with structural engineering concepts including nonlinear modeling, response spectrum analysis, pushover analysis, or performance-based design.

• Capability to write clear, comprehensive, and technically sound engineering documentation.

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent written English communication abilities.

• Capacity to work autonomously and manage your own schedule effectively.
