This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team of structural engineers.
• Collaborate with engineers from various disciplines and engage directly with clients.
• Mentor and guide a structural engineering team on projects related to new nuclear facilities and upgrades or modifications of nuclear power plants.
• Utilize expertise in materials, structural analysis, structural steel design, and reinforced concrete design.
• Participate as part of an engineering and design team on projects for a diverse range of clients.
• Prepare, review, and offer guidance on design calculations.
• Develop detailed specifications.
• Collaborate with designers on the development of drawings.
• Prepare, review, or oversee the structural analysis and design of steel frames, connections, concrete members, and foundations.
• Possibly travel to client and vendor offices for design reviews and to plant sites for construction coordination and field verification of designs.
• Lead engineering challenges from problem identification to solution implementation using data, automation, AI, or agentic AI tools.
• Set standards for the use of modern tools to enhance workflows, minimize rework, and deliver cost-effective designs.
• Direct efforts in automation and process improvement, including the automation of calculations, summarization of technical documents, and generation of design documentation.
• Guide the application of AI tools while ensuring that results are validated.
• Supervise engineers who program or script to automate engineering tasks and review the outputs of automation.
• Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• Minimum of 12 years of experience as part of a project team in the design and analysis of industrial, heavy commercial, or nuclear facility structures.
• Expertise in structural analysis software such as STAAD, SAP2000, SAFE, STRUDL, or ANSYS.
• Familiarity with design codes and standards like ASCE 7, AISC, and ACI.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license.
• Authorization to work in the U.S.; the company does not provide sponsorship for work authorization in the U.S. for this position.
• A Master's degree in Civil Engineering is desirable but not mandatory.
• Experience providing on-site construction support is preferred but not essential.
• Willingness or capability to lead others using modern tools such as automation and AI.
• Additional education or experience in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, or related fields is a plus but not required.
• Experience overseeing engineers programming or scripting in Python, MATLAB, or advanced Excel is preferred but not mandatory.
