Senior Structural Engineer – OpenSees, AI Training & Evaluation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Indonesia.

📋 Description

• Design realistic AI training tasks grounded in structural engineering principles and authentic design challenges.

• Formulate clear engineering problem statements that encompass structural analysis, design, simulation, and adherence to codes.

• Create reference solutions and deterministic scoring criteria to assess AI-generated outputs.

• Develop engineering tasks utilizing OpenSees and various structural engineering techniques.

• Generate evaluation scenarios that cover topics such as pushover analysis, seismic design, finite element analysis (FEA), reinforced concrete design, steel connection detailing, and structural retrofitting.

• Assess AI-generated engineering solutions for technical accuracy, engineering judgment, and compliance with relevant design codes.

• Offer structured feedback aimed at enhancing AI performance in the field of structural engineering.

• Operate independently in a fully remote and flexible work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline (a Master's or PhD is advantageous).

• Professional experience in structural analysis and design.

• Practical experience with OpenSees.

• Strong knowledge of structural design standards such as ACI 318, AISC 360, or Eurocode (EN 1992, EN 1993, EN 1998).

• Familiarity with structural engineering concepts including nonlinear modeling, response spectrum analysis, pushover analysis, or performance-based design.

• Ability to produce clear, comprehensive, and technically precise engineering documentation.

• Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Exceptional written communication skills in English.

• Capability to work autonomously and manage your own schedule effectively.
