Senior Structural Engineer – OpenSees, AI Training & Evaluation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Greece.

📋 Description

• Develop realistic AI training tasks rooted in structural engineering principles and practical design challenges.

• Formulate precise engineering problem statements that encompass structural analysis, design, simulation, and code adherence.

• Create reference solutions and objective scoring criteria to assess AI-generated outputs.

• Construct engineering tasks utilizing OpenSees alongside various structural engineering techniques.

• Design evaluation scenarios covering areas such as: Pushover analysis, Seismic design, Finite Element Analysis (FEA), Reinforced concrete design, Steel connection detailing, and Structural retrofit.

• Assess AI-generated engineering solutions for technical precision, engineering judgment, and compliance with relevant design standards.

• Offer structured feedback aimed at enhancing AI performance in the realm of structural engineering.

• Operate autonomously in a fully remote and adaptable work environment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a closely related discipline (Master's or PhD is an advantage).

• Professional experience in structural analysis and design.

• Practical experience with OpenSees.

• Profound understanding of structural design standards such as ACI 318, AISC 360, or Eurocode (EN 1992, EN 1993, EN 1998).

• Familiarity with structural engineering concepts, including nonlinear modeling, response spectrum analysis, pushover analysis, or performance-based design.

• Capability to produce clear, detailed, and technically sound engineering documentation.

• Strong analytical mindset and meticulous attention to detail.

• Excellent written communication skills in English.

• Ability to work independently and effectively manage your own schedule.
