This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Lead and execute structural design and analysis for various data center buildings, including hyperscale and colocation facilities.

• Create design documentation for tilt-up concrete panels, precast structures, steel framing systems, and both deep and shallow foundations.

• Collaborate on design deliverables with architectural, civil, MEP, and construction teams to ensure alignment with project goals and client expectations.

• Supervise the preparation of construction documents, specifications, and calculations, ensuring quality, compliance with codes, and technical excellence.

• Provide mentorship and technical support to junior engineers and designers.

• Interact with clients, contractors, and review authorities to resolve technical inquiries and clarify design elements.

• Assist in business development, proposal writing, and conceptual structural design for new opportunities.

• Travel as necessary for project-related tasks such as client meetings and site inspections.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with at least 8 years of relevant professional experience in building structures design and analysis, or a demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education in Structural or Civil Engineering.

• Licensed U.S. Professional Engineer (PE or SE).

• Experience specifically in data center, mission-critical, or large-scale logistics/industrial facilities.

• Proficient in BIM ACC (Revit), ETABS, RISA, RAM, SAP2000, Safe, etc.

• Familiarity with precast concrete systems, steel design, seismic design, and foundation systems.

• Proven experience with low embodied carbon materials and sustainable structural design methodologies.
