This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +3 more states.
• Carry out structural analysis and design for a variety of structures, focusing on concrete, steel, and masonry.
• Create and uphold project structural drawings and specifications in compliance with building codes.
• Perform investigations of existing conditions and compile related reports.
• Ensure coordination across various engineering disciplines.
• Offer support during the construction phase, including reviewing shop drawings and addressing RFIs.
• May provide mentorship, guidance, and knowledge-sharing to assist less experienced team members in enhancing their skills and advancing in their roles.
• Generally requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in structural engineering or a comparable field.
• Must have obtained or be in the process of acquiring a professional license (PE or SE).
• Typically certified in BC's Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) Framework, and advancing through the SMS competencies.
• Skilled in understanding and adhering to building codes and regulations, including ACI 318, ACI 350, AISC 360, IBC, ASCE 7.
