This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead direct reports, sub-disciplines, and contractors.
• Responsible to the Engineering Manager-PEM/Civil Engineering team for achieving departmental KPIs and overseeing team performance.
• Optimize resource planning, recruitment and hiring, employee retention, annual performance coaching, salary and bonus planning, communication, continuous quality improvement, training, and development strategies for civil engineers.
• Guide and direct lead civil engineers during the project launch phase and throughout project execution, ensuring adherence to engineering processes.
• Ensure effective management of interfaces with partners and main suppliers.
• Develop quality procedures and processes while organizing knowledge capitalization to enhance engineering efficiency.
• Accountable for civil engineering design budgets, schedule compliance, technical change orders, and quality on ongoing projects.
• Assist the proposal team with resources, technical validation, engineering work scope, labor hours review, execution plans, and statements of clarifications, assumptions, and exceptions based on customer RFPs and specifications.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution.
• Over 15 years of experience in high voltage substation civil/structural design, including EPC projects.
• More than 5 years of experience in leading a substation civil engineering team.
• Professional Engineering License in the United States and a willingness to review and seal drawings.
• Willingness and ability to travel 20% of the time, including international travel, while complying with all relevant company travel and tax policies.
• Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university (preferred).
• Over 5 years of experience managing civil engineers, encompassing resource loading, performance evaluations, recruitment/hiring, training/development plans, and salary planning (preferred).
• Project Management experience on power systems EPC projects (preferred).
