This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana, +1 more state.
• Identifying and qualifying opportunities across various business types where a virtual solution can facilitate B2B transaction payments.
• Employing creativity in targeting the appropriate companies and establishing connections with the right individuals within those organizations.
• Overseeing the entire sales process from lead generation and initial prospect engagement to successfully closing deals and conducting follow-up sales activities.
• Clearly communicating WEX’s market proposition, accurately interpreting clients’ needs or challenges, and proposing suitable solutions.
• Gaining a deep understanding of prospects and their motivations while fostering strong client relationships with various stakeholders within the organization.
• Crafting high-quality presentations and proposals to support new business pitches and bidding opportunities.
• Demonstrating experience in contract negotiations.
• Providing timely and precise revenue forecasting and management information, along with regular reporting as necessary.
• Collaborating closely with internal operations teams to streamline the sales process from the initial customer contact, ensuring seamless delivery of client services that align with customer expectations.
• Maintaining up-to-date information in the Salesforce and Account Management systems with relevant data.
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• A minimum of 6-10 years of experience in direct sales, account management, and/or channel management development.
• A proven ability to generate personal leads, showcasing a hunter mentality.
• Experience in B2B payments and substantial knowledge of the virtual payment industry is a significant advantage.
• A comprehensive understanding of financial services and the intricate solution sales process.
• Capability to engage in strategy development and lead the achievement of critical objectives.
• A successful history of managing business development activities to meet growth targets.
• A proven record of establishing and maintaining strong relationships with individuals ranging from senior executives to technical contacts.
• Demonstrated skills in building trust, accountability, and collaboration among internal and external stakeholders, proving to be a team player.
• A history of consistently exceeding annual sales quotas.
• Proficient in effectively presenting ideas to individuals or groups, ensuring alignment with the objectives of the event or meeting.
