This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• KPI Definition: Create and manage a detailed suite of SaaS metrics (such as ARR, NRR, CAC, LTV, Magic Number) to monitor performance across Revenue, R&D, and Support.
• Financial Modeling: Develop and enhance advanced financial models to examine revenue streams, customer segmentation, pricing strategies, and sales team efficiency.
• FP&A Leadership: Collaborate with the VP of Finance to spearhead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes, integrating real-time insights from operational data.
• Deal Strategy: Act as the financial partner to the Deal Desk and Sales Leadership; evaluate pricing, deal profitability, non-standard contract terms, and revenue recognition implications, while providing recommendations to shape the contract and order form structure.
• Compensation Analysis: Assess the ROI of sales compensation plans and the GTM organizational framework to ensure alignment with company growth objectives.
• Ad-Hoc Strategy: Perform in-depth analyses on specific business issues (such as new market entry and product margin analysis) to support executive decision-making.
• CRM to Finance Integration: Lead the integration of GTM systems (Salesforce) with financial systems (ERP/Planning tools).
• Data Governance: Establish the definitive "source of truth" for sales data. Enforce quality controls to guarantee the accurate flow of booking and revenue data into financial reporting.
• Process Engineering: Create standardized operating procedures (SOPs) for financial analysis to transition the department from ad-hoc reporting to scalable, automated frameworks.
• Experience: Over 5 years of progressive experience in FP&A, Strategic Finance, or Sales Operations, along with strong analytical capabilities for business strategies.
• Industry Background: Previous experience in an Enterprise SaaS company and a background in private equity or investment banking is preferred.
• Technical Stack:
• - Advanced Excel proficiency (complex modeling) is mandatory.
• - Strong familiarity with Salesforce (reporting, dashboards, object relationships) is crucial.
• - Experience with BI tools (such as Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Python) and Planning tools (like Anaplan, Adaptive Insights) is a significant advantage.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Math, Accounting, Economics, or a related quantitative discipline. An MBA or master's degree is a plus.
• Soft Skills: Demonstrated ability to convey complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for non-financial stakeholders (Sales, Engineering, Product). Excellent communication and writing skills. Strong team player, self-motivated and driven.
• Impact: You won’t merely report the news; you’ll help shape it by influencing deal structures and operational strategies.
• Visibility: Direct reporting line to the VP of Finance and regular interaction with GTM leadership.
