Senior Strategic Finance Manager

📋 Description

• Assist in leading DuckDuckGo's Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) processes and strategic finance initiatives.

• Collaborate with cross-functional leadership on critical decision-making.

• Assess the scale and profitability of new products, mergers & acquisitions, and other strategic investments.

• Develop financial models for product growth, search monetization, marketing return on investment, and potential acquisitions.

• Analyze and summarize financial results.

• Support quarterly forecasts related to Profit & Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.

• Contribute to both annual and long-term planning efforts.

• Manage recurring deliverables including forecast variances, user metrics, Profit & Loss, and headcount analyses.

• Enhance team processes by leveraging AI tools such as Claude and business intelligence tools like Tableau and Grafana.

• Work collaboratively with a transparent and self-motivated finance team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years experience in strategic finance (FP&A, corporate development, investment banking, or consulting).

• Proficiency in advanced Excel and financial modeling, including three-statement forecasts.

• Proven ability to manage complex, ambiguous analyses from start to finish and connect findings to clear metrics.

• Experience in building strong working relationships with business partners and collaborating towards company goals.

• Aptitude for automating recurring analyses, including the use of AI tools.

• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in writing for senior leadership in a remote, asynchronous environment.

• Knowledge of U.S. GAAP accounting and reporting standards.

• Must reside in North America.

• Required to attend meetings on camera via video conferencing.

• Expected average full-time commitment of 40 hours per week.

• Must successfully pass a background check as a condition of joining the team.
