This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop financial models driven by key drivers and conduct scenario analyses to facilitate annual planning, forecasting, and long-term strategic decisions.
• Take ownership of Muck Rack’s financial planning framework in Pigment, ensuring that models are dependable, thoroughly documented, and linked to precise source data.
• Act as the main finance partner for managing non-headcount expenses across the organization, assisting business leaders in monitoring spending against the plan while proactively identifying risks and opportunities.
• Evaluate performance across critical business areas and create executive-ready insights to aid in monthly, quarterly, and annual performance assessments.
• Enhance and automate KPI reporting utilizing tools like Equals, Google Sheets, and Looker to minimize manual tasks and improve leadership visibility into business performance.
• Work collaboratively across departments including GTM, Engineering, Analytics, and Finance to establish metrics, develop business cases, and assess the impact of strategic initiatives.
• Conduct ad hoc analyses to support initiatives aimed at company growth and efficiency, leveraging both internal data sources and external benchmarks.
• Continuously refine finance tools and workflows by identifying avenues to streamline processes and harness new technologies.
• 3–5 years of experience in FP&A, strategic finance, or a comparable finance role.
• Proficient financial modeling and analytical abilities with advanced skills in Excel or Google Sheets.
• Experience in managing budgets or tracking expenses for business functions or departments.
• Practical experience with financial planning software such as Pigment, Anaplan, Adaptive Insights, or similar applications.
• Background in SaaS, technology, or other high-growth business sectors.
• Thorough understanding of SaaS and GTM metrics including ARR, NRR, bookings versus revenue, churn, and funnel conversion.
• Familiarity with operational data sources such as Salesforce, Looker, or NetSuite; knowledge of SQL is a plus.
• Capability to convert complex financial analyses into straightforward narratives for executives and cross-departmental stakeholders.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present financial insights to leadership.
• A curious mindset, ownership mentality, and readiness to delve into data to uncover the underlying reasons for performance outcomes.
• Comfort in navigating ambiguity and enhancing processes in dynamic environments.
• Interest in utilizing technology and automation to enhance financial workflows and reporting.
