This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead consulting engagements for FOSSA prospects and clients in relation to M&A activities, code licensing, and vulnerability audits.
• Take full technical responsibility for a designated group of FOSSA customers.
• Comprehend the OSS needs and challenges faced by enterprise stakeholders.
• Integrate FOSSA CLI and plugins into customer CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins.
• Deploy FOSSA tailored to each customer's unique build environment.
• Collaborate with Customer Success Managers to ensure effective technical integration and positive customer outcomes.
• Develop relationships with technical champions and serve as a trusted advisor within customer organizations.
• Work alongside Success, Product Engineering, and Product Management teams.
• Assist customers in achieving their technical objectives and align their expectations with FOSSA’s capabilities.
• Identify and enhance technical processes while removing hindrances.
• Clearly articulate complex technical issues to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to write and maintain scripts (bash, Python, Perl, etc.).
• Proven experience in creating and maintaining technical project documentation aimed at customers.
• Experience in assisting customers with planning intricate technical rollouts, recognizing key stakeholders and potential obstacles.
• Working familiarity with threat modeling and its relevance to contemporary software architecture.
• Capability to offer consultative recommendations.
• Ability to collaborate with internal teams to replicate product defects and manage escalations.
• Capacity to provide insights to on-call teams.
• Ability to thrive in a rapidly expanding startup environment, navigating challenges and uncertainty.
• Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time for customer meetings as necessary.
• Preferred: experience as a Technical Consulting Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Solutions Architect.
• Preferred: hands-on experience in OSS license compliance consulting for M&A.
• Preferred: familiarity with private SaaS, on-prem SaaS, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Preferred: knowledge of open source software and licensing frameworks such as GPL, MIT, and Apache License.
• Preferred: previous experience as an open source software contributor.
• Preferred: experience with SCA and/or SAST tools.
• Preferred: understanding of software development security and vulnerability risks.
• Preferred: knowledge of software development build systems.
• Preferred: previous SaaS experience with complex implementation and integration requirements.
• Strong technical acumen with the ability to engage effectively with lawyers/IP counsel, project managers, engineering leaders, and software engineers.
