Senior Strategic Business Analyst – Cloud Expertise

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with executive stakeholders to identify business challenges, strategic goals, and overarching solution strategies for modernization.

• Develop and deliver business cases, analyses, and recommendations.

• Create and sustain strategic roadmaps in conjunction with Enterprise Architecture, Product Strategy, and Portfolio Governance teams.

• Assess business processes utilizing enterprise capability mapping, value stream analysis, and process decomposition techniques.

• Facilitate strategic workshops, decision-making forums, and prioritization sessions with senior leadership.

• Define the scope, objectives, and success criteria for modernization initiatives.

• Align strategy, technology, modernization objectives, and organizational priorities.

• Provide guidance to clients on functional and strategic enhancements.

• Present recommendations, analyses, reports, briefings, procedures, presentations, and training materials to senior stakeholders.

• Analyze user requirements and define, document, analyze, and validate functional specifications.

• Conduct complex functional modeling, measurements, functional allocations, and requirements analysis.

• Oversee functional testing of projects and systems.

• Research and recommend resources needed for task execution.

• Develop new functionalities or update existing ones to address client needs.

• Collaborate with clients to ascertain optimal project designs.

• Provide mentorship, work leadership, and guidance to less-experienced analysts.

• Act as team or task lead without direct people-management responsibilities.

• Advise clients, recommend functional modifications, and pinpoint areas for further investigation.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of experience, including at least 8 years focused on IT system functional analysis.

• Preferred experience in supporting cloud or large-scale modernization initiatives.

• Background in strategic analysis, enterprise planning, or business consulting.

• Strong functional knowledge of modernization programs and complex, integrated IT systems.

• Excellent analytical skills in market research, financial analysis, modeling, and capability assessments.

• Proficiency in defining, documenting, and managing complex business rules.

• Familiarity with Agile tools and processes, particularly Jira.

• Ability to convey complex strategy and functional concepts to senior stakeholders.

• Knowledge of enterprise business architecture, capability models, and portfolio management.

• BS degree in an IT-related discipline.

• No current security clearance required.

• U.S. citizenship is not a requirement.

• Nice to have: Experience in Mainframe Business Process Re-engineering.

• Nice to have: Experience in zCloud and AWS/Azure Cloud Modernization.

• Familiarity with BPA tools and BPMN, CMN, and DMN modeling.

• Experience utilizing Generative AI for documenting requirements and business rules.

• Knowledge of DATACOM, DB2, Azure SQL, and PostgreSQL.

• Experience with Agile methodology in modernization initiatives.

• MBA or related advanced degree preferred.

• Prior experience in portfolio governance or enterprise strategy preferred.
