This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Position yourself as the primary contact by showcasing personal ownership and accountability, leadership skills, technical proficiency, effective communication, financial insight, and situational awareness, as demonstrated by your capability to meticulously plan and successfully execute nuclear outages and projects while adhering to high standards of safety, quality, schedule compliance, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for installation and maintenance services during the R process. Participate in pre-proposal and negotiation meetings, define scope and schedule, manage loadboards, JCE, tooling, quotes, parts, resources, and deliverables.
• Plan for job site and outages before mobilization. Create Job Information Sheets (JIS), Labor and Specialty Service requests. Coordinate with Design Engineering, Customer, and Pre-Site work (T-12, T-6) and facilitate Lean Outage Risk and Protectivity (LORaP) workshops.
• Request internal and external Purchase Orders (POs). Outage Planning: Develop work order task plans with considerations for safety requirements, equipment availability, available parts, tooling, specialty services, and resources.
• Ensure the Development of the One EHS plan upon site mobilization before the start of the outage. Manage costs with ongoing estimates through to completion.
• Develop, plan, and manage project schedules and payment milestones while providing contingency planning to guarantee timely execution.
• Manage Risks and Opportunities by identifying all risks and issues and developing mitigation plans. Resolve issues during project execution, including Safety/HOP/Quality/FME/Generate NCRs/Parts/Product Service/Engineering/Controls/Commercial, etc.
• Deliver accurate management reports for all assigned projects, ensuring that all project authorizations are secured both technically and financially.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, both internal and external.
• Oversee the Scope Change Authorization process for all assigned projects.
• Provide leadership and guidance throughout the project lifecycle, from conception to delivery, and conduct project feedback reviews at appropriate intervals.
• This role is expected to focus on project-based activities and perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
• Ensure the completion of project field services reports, execute the ETC 127 process for engineering documentation of changes, generate POR documents, manage project closeout, and maintain excellent relationships with customers and peers.
• A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or College OR a High School Diploma/GED with at least 10 years of experience in a customer-facing role OR an associate degree with a minimum of 15 years of experience in a customer-facing role.
• A minimum of 5 additional years of experience in a customer-facing role within the power generation industry.
• Willingness and ability to relocate to Bowmanville, ON, to maintain a daily physical presence at the site and interact with the customer team during outages as well as during non-outage periods.
• Willingness and ability to address customer issues at any time, regardless of day or hour.
• Capability to obtain and retain unescorted access to a Darlington nuclear facility.
• Experience with Alstom BBC steam turbine and generator maintenance is essential.
