Senior Staff Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop AI-driven systems that utilize computer vision and machine learning for video inspections to detect defects and assess conditions.

• Create tools for mapping and analyzing sewer infrastructure, incorporating real-time risk assessment capabilities.

• Construct resilient data-processing pipelines using Temporal.io for extensive video analysis.

• Design and implement interactive React frontends that feature mapping, data visualization, and video playback functionalities.

• Architect scalable TypeScript APIs that cater to municipal agencies and contractors.

• Utilize a Turborepo monorepo alongside npm workspaces.

• Engage in development within a microservices architecture utilizing a shared PostgreSQL database.

• Create event-driven workflows employing Temporal.io.

• Collaborate on projects involving React and TypeScript frontends, Fastify APIs, and Python data services.

• Leverage AWS infrastructure for containerized deployments.

• Contribute to thorough testing, code reviews, and automated deployment pipelines.

• Manage full-stack projects from data processing through to user interface design.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in full-stack development.

• Proficient in TypeScript/JavaScript with experience in modern frameworks.

• Experience with React 18+ using TypeScript.

• Familiarity with modern CSS and Tailwind.

• Knowledge of WebGL and Canvas Graphics.

• Experience with Mapping Libraries.

• Expertise in state management utilizing Zustand or React Query.

• Proficient in Node.js/TypeScript with Fastify.

• Experience with PostgreSQL/PostGIS and executing complex queries.

• Familiarity with Prisma ORM.

• Strong understanding of RESTful API design and OpenAPI/Swagger.

• Experience with Docker and containerization.

• Knowledge of AWS Cloud Services, including Lambda, ECS, S3, and RDS.

• Proficiency in CI/CD, automated testing, and deployment pipelines.

• Experience with cloud deployment, preferably on AWS.

• A problem-solving mindset with a keen attention to detail.
