This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maine.
• Provide direct care to members experiencing opioid use disorder via group sessions, individual appointments, and Initial Provider Evaluations.
• Oversee a panel of members as a continuity provider, assessing care plans and medication regimens.
• Prescribe medications for opioid use disorder along with other sanctioned medications.
• Offer coverage for makeup group sessions, individual meetings, initial evaluations, and other providers as needed.
• Collaborate with community providers and agencies for comprehensive care.
• Address medical inquiries, provide cross-coverage, and engage in interdisciplinary care team meetings.
• Participate in the urgent prescription on-call rotation, typically one Saturday each month for 2–3 hours.
• Complete precise, same-day medical documentation while ensuring the confidentiality of HIPAA-compliant records.
• Manage a team of 10–20 contracted providers and/or supervise up to 4 FTE staff providers.
• Act as the primary point of contact for medical concerns and escalation issues.
• Facilitate provider onboarding, training, education, performance enhancement, and change management initiatives.
• Conduct chart reviews and direct care observations, providing constructive feedback.
• Assist in developing new protocols, workflows, care pathways, and clinical outcome projects.
• Offer middle-management support and collaborate closely with the Provider Support Manager and Operations Director.
• Possession of an active, unencumbered APRN or PA medical license in the states where Groups Recover Together operates.
• Relevant behavioral health or addiction medicine NPI taxonomy, or readiness to modify the taxonomy.
• Active DEA registration with a practice address in the states of hire.
• Openness to obtaining additional state licenses as requested.
• No past issues that could hinder state licensing or credentialing processes.
• Current board certification(s) in the relevant field.
• Willingness to become credentialed with both government and private health plans aligned with Groups Recover Together.
• Ability and readiness to meet with members in person at pre-agreed locations.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience managing opioid use disorder utilizing buprenorphine.
• Completion of the mandatory 8-hour SAMHSA training program.
• At least 2 years of experience in team-based care alongside behavioral health providers.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience with a comparable member population, ideally in primary care or behavioral health settings.
• Reliable internet and telephone service, with a minimum download speed of 10M and upload speed of 5M.
• Strong Wi-Fi connectivity from the remote work location.
• Proficiency in utilizing telehealth effectively.
• Familiarity with EMR systems.
• Competence in spreadsheet and basic data analysis tasks.
• Ability to adhere to clinical policies, procedures, practice guidelines, Professional Code of Conduct, HIPAA regulations, and applicable laws.
• Capability to fulfill pre-employment and state-specific requirements for background checks, drug testing, health screening, CPR/Basic First Aid certification, and license/credential verification as applicable.
• Commitment to recovery-sensitive behavior, harm reduction, and member-centered care.
• Proficient in professional written and verbal communication, demonstrating discretion, independence, leadership, coaching abilities, and capacity to work in group medical visits.
